
Zach Dembo
Zach Dembo was raised in Lexington and is a proud ninth-generation Kentuckian. After attending Stanford University, he served as an eighth-grade English teacher in the Mississippi Delta through the Teach For America program. Following his graduation from the University of Michigan Law School, he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Corps. In 2017, Zach joined the US Department of Justice Civil Rights Division as a federal prosecutor, and in 2020 returned home to Kentucky when Governor Andy Beshear appointed him as a policy advisor and later legislative director. Throughout his career, Zach has consistently chosen paths of service, working to ensure justice and advocate for communities across the Commonwealth.
