Jimmy Anderson
Raised by a mom who worked two jobs for all of his childhood and a blue-collar dad, Jimmy learned early how much strong communities and real opportunity matter. Inspired by his grandfather's service in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, he grew up believing that service and opportunity can change lives. That belief continues to guide him today. Jimmy joined the Air Force after high school, later deploying to Afghanistan, and went on to become a Fulbright Scholar in Canada. He has served in the Air Force for 17 years and continues to serve in the Reserve. After his career on active duty, Jimmy worked in government and the private sector to improve how institutions serve the public. He was a political appointee in the White House and the Department of Veterans Affairs under President Biden, helping expand support for veterans, families, and the military community. In the private sector, he led efforts to strengthen government services, workforce development through technology modernization.
