Alex Hawkins
Alex Hawkins has built his life around service and steady leadership under pressure. He is a U.S. Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal officer and a Reserve Deputy with the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, work that taught him to protect people, make critical decisions, and take care of the team. In public service, Alex worked in Congress for then-Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin and Senator Gary Peters, helping constituents cut through red tape and advancing policies for veterans, working families, and accountable government. He stays involved beyond the job title through veterans’ advocacy, leading a nonprofit community choir, and mentoring young leaders. A former Civil Air Patrol cadet and current mentor, he carries forward the values of discipline, teamwork, and giving back. Alex also partners with labor unions and community organizations to fight for fair wages, safe working conditions, and stronger local economies, standing up for workers, veterans, and families who deserve to be heard.
