Herb Conaway

Congressman Herb Conaway Jr., M.D. serves New Jersey's 3rd Congressional District. In a historic first, he is the first Black physician with voting privileges to serve in Congress. Conaway is a lifelong Burlington County resident with a diverse background in medicine, law, and public service. A graduate of Princeton, Jefferson Medical College, and Rutgers Law School, he served as a Captain in the Air Force Medical Corps. Dr. Conaway has been a State Assembly Member for 26 years, chairing the Assembly Health Committee and championing issues like women's health, affordable prescriptions, and environmental protection.
