Patrick Long
Patrick Long is an attorney, small business owner, and Iraq War veteran. He got into politics because he sees it as the best way to help others — a value he learned young after hearing stories of his grandfather's time in the Marines and the sacrifices his family made for freedom. From 2008 to 2014, Patrick served in NH Army National Guard units based at the Canal Street armory, first with the 3643rd Brigade Support Battalion and later the 372nd Signal Company after a promotion. From 2010 to 2011, he deployed to Kuwait and Iraq in support of Operation New Dawn, volunteering for a gun truck unit escorting convoys into Iraq rather than the safer assignment most of his unit received in Kuwait. Time spent in Manchester for Guard duty convinced him it was the right place to put down roots, and he later chose it as his home.
