Chrissy Houlahan

Congresswoman Chrissy Houlahan is an Air Force Captain, nonprofit leader, and former chemistry teacher representing Pennsylvania's 6th Congressional District. Chrissy is a third-generation military veteran— her father, a holocaust survivor and career naval officer taught her the importance of service. She attended Stanford University on an ROTC scholarship, and went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force before earning a master’s degree from MIT. In 2011, she spent a year teaching 11th grade chemistry in North Philadelphia through Teach for America.In 2018, she became the first woman ever to be elected to Pennsylvania’s 6th Congressional District. Rep. Houlahan lives with her husband, Bart, in Chester County, where they raised their grown daughters.
