Akbar Ali

Georgia House of Representatives
106th District, Georgia

Akbar Ali is a passionate and dedicated community leader based in Gwinnett County, and is the youngest serving representative in the Georgia State House. He was the youngest First Vice Chair of the Gwinnett Democratic Party and at just 21 years old, he was elected to represent District 106. From leading local campaigns and student marches to serving on the Citizens Transit Advisory Board, he has always centered on one belief: leadership is about those around you. Akbar stays rooted in our communities and neighborhoods through active involvement in PTAs, the Gwinnett NAACP, and grassroots organizations. He is a graduate of Kennesaw State University, holding a degree in political science and public relations and also is a small business owner.
