Odus Evbagharu is a candidate for the Texas House focused on expanding opportunities for working families. The son of immigrants, he was raised in the Cy-Fair community, attended local public schools, and graduated from the University of Houston. A small business owner, Odus believes in the power of community engagement to shape a better future for the next generation. In 2021, he made history as the youngest and first Black Chair of the Harris County Democratic Party, where he led one of the most inclusive voter outreach efforts in county history and helped secure a Democratic supermajority on the Harris County Commissioners Court. His leadership reflects a track record of organizing, coalition-building, and delivering results.
