Josh Tarsky
Joshua Tarsky is a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, representing the 13th Norfolk District. After 9/11, Tarsky couldn't quite shake the question "why not me?" leading him to enlist in the U.S. Army as a Special Forces (Green Beret) soldier. Throughout his military service, Josh saw firsthand the crucial roles that strong education systems and sound laws play in a society’s well-being, inspiring him to pursue graduate degrees in those fields. Returning stateside, he earned a Master's in Education from Harvard University and a Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University while working as a teacher at Lawrence High School. Representative Tarsky then transitioned into school administration, serving as Assistant Principal of Sandwich High School and Principal of Holbrook Middle-High School until being elected as State Representative of the 13th Norfolk District. He continues his military service as a Major and Judge Advocate General in the Massachusetts National Guard.
