Chedrick Greene is a distinguished public servant with three decades of experience spanning military leadership, fire service, and legislative work. A 30-year veteran of the United States Marine Corps Reserve, Greene oversaw 1,500+ Marines and Sailors across 11 detachments as Command Senior Enlisted Leader. He achieved the highest rank possible for enlisted servicemembers — Sergeant Major (E-9) — a rank reached by fewer than one percent of Marines. Greene also earned multiple honors as a Marine, including the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with Combat Valor, and the Combat Action Ribbon. Overlapping his military service, Greene worked as a Teamster for five years and is currently serving as Fire Captain in his 27th year with the City of Saginaw Fire Department. Greene continues to be active in community service and is excited to use his working-class leadership to make life more affordable, safe, and free for mid-Michiganders.
