Dan Gessen
Dan Gessen currently serves as Falmouth's representative in the Barnstable County Assembly of Delegates, where his colleagues elected him Deputy Speaker. Born and raised in Falmouth and a graduate of Falmouth High School, he earned degrees from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and the Isenberg School of Management before commissioning as an Infantry Officer in the Massachusetts National Guard, where he has led soldiers in Iraq and Syria. As the son of refugees from the former Soviet Union, Dan sees public service as a way to give back to the country that provided his family with opportunity and freedom. His commitment to service began working on State Senator Julian Cyr's first campaign and interning for U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren. He has helped secure $1.3 million for wastewater projects, advance homeowner relief initiatives, support regional infrastructure efforts such as FalmouthNet, and build coalitions to tackle Cape Cod's most pressing challenges.
