State Representative Josey Garcia represents Texas House District 124 in far west San Antonio and serves as a powerful voice for veterans, military families, survivors, children, and working families at the Texas Capitol. A retired U.S. Air Force combat veteran, Representative Garcia serves on the Natural Resources and Redistricting Committees and is the only woman on the Energy Committee. She has worked on legislation supporting veterans' mental health, military readiness and national security, child safety, community-based accountability, and survivor-centered protections. Beyond the Capitol, Representative Garcia has led hands-on disaster relief efforts through her nonprofit, Uniting America Outreach, including her leadership during the 2025 Hill Country flood response, where she mobilized over 1,500 volunteers, delivered critical resources, supported affected families, and helped restore hope in impacted communities. As the first and only woman veteran serving in the Texas House of Representatives, she brings lived experience, grit, and a deep commitment to service.
