Jared Golden represents Maine’s 2nd Congressional District and served in the U.S. Marine Corps with multiple overseas deployments. He grew up in Leeds, a small town in Androscoggin County. After enlisting as an infantryman in the Marines, Golden deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq before returning home to Maine. He serves on the Natural Resources Committee and the Armed Services Committee. In Congress, Golden focuses on job creation, rural economic development, and veterans’ services. Congressman Golden currently lives in Lewiston with his wife, Isobel, and their two daughters.
