Annie Menz was born in Oklahoma. She's a Navy veteran and worked as a staff member in the Oklahoma Legislature. She serves on the board of directors of Norman Cultural Connection and The Beacon Project. In 2022, she made history by becoming the first Latina elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives. She resides in Norman with her son, who attends Norman Public Schools.
