Maggie Bove-LaMonica

Maggie has dedicated her career to building education and civic systems that support communities. She currently serves as an elected member of the Hermosa Beach City School District board. Her experience spans roles as a nonprofit administrator with Leadership for Educational Equity, BUILD, and LMU Family of Schools; an adjunct professor and legal advocate at Loyola Marymount University; and a classroom teacher and coach with Verbum Dei High School and other Cristo Rey network schools. A Returned Peace Corps Volunteer who served in Morocco, she has worked with communities in Chicago, Los Angeles, New Orleans, San Francisco, France, and Morocco to advance equity and access for students and build a K-16 pipeline for all kids. She is running for Hermosa Beach City Council in November 2026 to bring her experience, leadership, and vision for good governance to her hometown.
