Jessica Bradley Rushing worked as the Chief of Staff at AfghanEvac, a nonprofit dedicated to keeping the promise the United States made to its Afghan allies. She previously served as Deputy Director for Communications and Engagement in the U.S. State Department's Office of the Coordinator for Afghan Relocation Efforts (CARE) and worked on veterans and immigration issues in the office of Congressman Bill Keating (MA-09). Prior to that, Jessica was the Director of Communication at the Officer Down Memorial Page (ODMP). Jessica served on the Pembroke Select Board from 2019 to 2022, including as Chair in her final year, and previously chaired the Pembroke Democratic Town Committee. A 2019 graduate of Emerge Massachusetts, she serves as Secretary on their Board of Directors. Jessica is also a member of the Truman National Security Project Defense Council and served on Everytown's Veterans Advisory Council. An Army veteran and mother of four, Jessica holds a BS in Communication from Boston University and an MA in Public Leadership from the University of San Francisco. She was recently named an American Service Fellow at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, where she will pursue a Master's in Public Administration.
