With Additions of Rebecca Bennett (NJ-07), Marni von Wilpert (CA-48), and Bale Dalton (FL-07), New Politics Candidates Now Make Up One-Third of the DCCC’s Red to Blue Roster, Proving the Path to Flipping the House Runs Through Servant Leaders
WASHINGTON D.C. (June 5, 2026) — The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) yesterday added four districts to its coveted Red to Blue program, naming three New Politics-endorsed servant leaders among the new additions: Rebecca Bennett in NJ-07, Marni von Wilpert in CA-48, and Bale Dalton in FL-07. With these additions, eight New Politics-endorsed candidates now hold spots in the Red to Blue program:

Voters want candidates who have already proven they can put mission before self and can be trusted to lead and put country first. Rebecca Bennett, Marni von Wilpert, and Bale Dalton have spent their lives earning that trust. They are the leaders who are going to flip the House in 2026.”
New Politics has endorsed 23 House candidates this cycle. Of the 18 still in active races, 13 align with the DCCC's Districts in Play. Data shows Democratic veteran candidates overperform generic Democratic candidates by nearly 6% in competitive congressional districts. New Politics-endorsed candidates played a critical role in retaking the House majority in 2018, and this cycle once again includes some of the strongest candidates running in swing districts across the House map.
