NEW POLITICS ENDORSES ZACH DEMBO FOR CONGRESS IN KENTUCKY'S 6th CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT

WASHINGTON D.C. (September 25, 2025) — New Politics today announced its endorsement of Zach Dembo for Congress in Kentucky's 6th Congressional District. Dembo, a Navy Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Corps veteran who served as a federal prosecutor in the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division, represents the commitment to public service that New Politics advances.

Emily Cherniack, Founder and Executive Director of New Politics, released the following statement:

“Zach Dembo has dedicated his career to defending justice and serving others—from his commissioning as a Navy JAG officer to prosecuting civil rights violations. His deep Kentucky roots, combined with his experience teaching in underserved communities and his work in Governor Beshear's administration, demonstrate a leader who understands both local needs and how government can work for people. New Politics is honored to support Zach as he brings his proven record of service to this important race."

Zach Dembo, candidate for Kentucky’s 6th Congressional District, expressed his gratitude for the endorsement:

“New Politics is an organization dedicated to lifting up a new generation of public servants and I am so grateful and humbled by their endorsement for my campaign for Congress in central Kentucky. My entire career has been about one thing: helping others through service, whether my time teaching, serving in the Navy or defending our constitutional and civil rights at the Department of Justice. This community needs a leader who is focused on getting results for regular people, not the rich and powerful, and that’s what I’ll do in Congress.”

About Zach Dembo

Zach Dembo was raised in Lexington and is a proud ninth-generation Kentuckian. After attending Stanford University, he served as an eighth-grade English teacher in the Mississippi Delta through the Teach For America program. Following his graduation from the University of Michigan Law School, he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Corps.

In 2017, Zach joined the US Department of Justice Civil Rights Division as a federal prosecutor, and in 2020 returned home to Kentucky when Governor Andy Beshear appointed him as a policy advisor and later legislative director. Throughout his career, Zach has consistently chosen paths of service, working to ensure justice and advocate for communities across the Commonwealth. Learn more at zachdembo.com.
