WASHINGTON D.C. (July 20, 2026) — New Politics endorsed Pia Dandiya for U.S. Congress in Florida's 22nd Congressional District. Dandiya is an AmeriCorps Teach for America alum who served students and communities before ever considering elected office. Her servant leadership is at the heart of New Politics’ mission.
Emily Cherniack, Founder and Executive Director of New Politics, released the following statement:
“Pia Dandiya has spent her entire career putting others before herself. She started as a Teach for America corps member and went on to found a public high school, becoming one of the youngest principals in the country. Eighty-six percent of her students came from low income households, and under her leadership, every single one of them earned admission to college. That's proof of what servant leadership delivers. Pia knows how to get results for the people who need them most, and that's exactly what Florida needs in Congress right now. New Politics is proud to stand behind her campaign.”
About Pia Dandiya
