NEW POLITICS ENDORSES CAIT CONLEY FOR CONGRESS IN NEW YORK’S 17th CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT

WASHINGTON D.C. — New Politics today endorsed U.S. Army special operations veteran and former White House National Security Council Director for Counterterrorism, Cait Conley, for Congress in New York’s 17th Congressional District. Emily Cherniack, Founder and Executive Director of New Politics, released the following statement:

"Cait Conley embodies the kind of servant leadership our politics needs. She has spent her life putting country over self, from the battlefield to the Situation Room, and has consistently stepped up when the stakes were highest. Cait doesn’t just believe in public service, she’s lived it. New Politics proudly supports her as she brings that same integrity, courage, and mission-driven focus to Congress.”

About Cait Conley

Cait Conley is a lifelong public servant and proud fourth-generation Hudson Valley native who knows the challenges working families face. She felt her calling to military service after witnessing 9/11 as a high school junior, and went home that night and told her Mom, West Point was where she belonged. And belong she did, Cait went on to graduate in the top 2% of her class at West Point and became the first in her family to graduate from college. She went on to earn master’s degrees from MIT and Harvard. Cait served 16 years as an active duty Army officer with over a decade in the special operations community, deploying overseas six times to help keep America safe. At home, she continued her service as Director of Counterterrorism on the National Security Council and later at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. From combat zones to the Situation Room, Cait has always answered the call to lead in moments of crisis. Now she’s running for Congress to fix a broken system and deliver results for the American people.
