NEW POLITICS ENDORSES ALEX VINDMAN FOR U.S. SENATE IN FLORIDA

WASHINGTON D.C. (January 27, 2026) — New Politics today endorsed Alex Vindman for U.S. Senate in Florida. A dedicated public servant, retired Army Lieutenant Colonel, and Purple Heart recipient who served 22 years in uniform, Alex exemplifies the principled servant leadership that is at the heart of New Politics' mission.

Emily Cherniack, Founder and Executive Director of New Politics, released the following statement:

"Alex Vindman is not a politician — he represents the very best of what it means to serve our country with courage and integrity. With over 22 years of service in the Army and a distinguished career in public service at the Pentagon and White House, Alex has consistently shown an unwavering commitment to serving our country. When duty called, he stood up to power and exposed corruption, demonstrating extraordinary moral courage by choosing principle over politics. That unwavering commitment to service over self is exactly the type of leadership that Florida and America need in the Senate. New Politics is proud to stand with him in this campaign."

About Alex Vindman

Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Alex Vindman is a 21-year U.S. Army combat veteran who served his country in the military and as a national security expert working for presidents of both parties. He and his family left the Soviet Union as refugees when he was three years old in search of freedom and opportunity in America. After a military career that moved him all over the world, Alex and his wife, Rachel, chose Florida as the place to settle with their family. As a combat infantryman, Alex was wounded in Iraq and awarded a Purple Heart. As a Lieutenant Colonel, Alex led hundreds of people in high-pressure situations where lives depended on people devoted to the mission and not themselves. His military service took him from the battlefield to the Pentagon and the White House, where he served as a Director on the National Security Council staff. Over his career in military and public service Alex has always stood up for what’s right. During his time on the National Security Council, Alex witnessed a corrupt and illegal abuse of power by a president intent on undermining an election. He reported the wrongdoing as was his duty, defending the Constitution as he was sworn to do. His decision to blow the whistle led to the 2019 impeachment of President Trump and ultimately cost him his 21-year military career after Trump sought retribution and fired him. After his Army career Alex dedicated himself to public service outside of uniform, helping veterans run for office so they can serve as a check on corruption and abuse of power.
