Endorsement: Ruben Ramirez for Congress (TX-15)

WASHINGTON D.C.—New Politics today endorsed former educator, current trial attorney, and decorated Army veteran Ruben Ramirez for Representative in Texas’ 15th Congressional District. Emily Cherniack, Founder and Executive Director of New Politics released the following statement:

“Whether at home or abroad, in the classroom or the courtroom, Ruben Ramirez has spent his life on the frontlines of service and demonstrated an unyielding commitment to empowering his community. As their representative in Washington, he will work tirelessly on behalf of everyone in the 15th District regardless of where they come from or how they vote. We’re thrilled to endorse this courageous, values-driven leader who will always put the interests of his fellow Texans above partisan politics.”

About Ruben Ramirez
Ruben Ramirez was born in the Rio Grande Valley and grew up in Edinburg, Texas in humble beginnings, but with a loving grandmother and father who instilled the value of integrity, hard work, and patriotism in him. After attending the University of Texas-Pan American – today known as the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley – he became a licensed educator and taught Chemistry and Physics to high school students in his hometown. He volunteered to join the war in Afghanistan to fight for our freedom in the U.S. Army, and was recognized with a battlefield promotion and a Bronze Star for his leadership. After being honorably discharged, he attended the University of Houston Law Center with his young family in tow. Today, he is a civil trial lawyer representing his neighbors in the Rio Grande Valley in a court of law, as he seeks to do in Congress.
