Samuel McCoy is a multilingual educator dedicated to helping marginalized communities through public service. Having gained fluency in Spanish through his Peace Corps service in Nicaragua, Samuel is now credentialed to teach Spanish, English and Portuguese after having earned a graduate degree from Stanford University's Graduate School of Education in 2023. His goal is to inspire youth from a diverse range of backgrounds to be the change they wish to see in the world. Samuel is running to be a delegate to the Democratic National Convention for California's 16th Congressional District in order to be a strong voice pushing for policies that support quality working conditions, student wellness and access to quality education in the Democratic Party platform this August.
