STATE SENATOR REBECCA KWOKA

New Hampshire’s 21st District
Service:
Peace Corps

Rebecca Perkins Kwoka was born and raised in New Hampshire, growing up in Stratham as her family owned and operated the Exeter Dairy Queen. She knows the struggle of trying to make ends meet when margins are tight. By the age of 15 she was managing employees and working 30+ hours per week while also attending high school. And she can still make a burger and fries with the best of them. Rebecca has a long legacy of public service, stretching back from her time in the Peace Corps in Senegal to her two terms on the Portsmouth City Council. She has been a workforce and affordable housing advocate for over a decade, and started the 603 Initiative to help keep thriving young people in New Hampshire. Advocating for better housing brought her to City Council, where as Chair of the Housing Committee she oversaw a successful zoning change process. By day, Rebecca is General Counsel at a solar company, so she knows the impact of the right policy to bring in thousands of new jobs to New Hampshire, and as a State Senator, she will fight to ensure that policy is enacted. Rebecca attended Dartmouth and Cornell Law School, and currently lives in Portsmouth with her wife and their baby girl.
