David Cavell has spent his career in local, state, and federal public service, including two years serving in the Obama White House as a Presidential Speechwriter. He is currently Senior Advisor and Assistant Attorney General in the Office of Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey. Prior to law school, Cavell spent three years as Speechwriter and Deputy Director of New Media for Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick. After college, Cavell was a Teach for America corps member, where he taught fourth grade at a public elementary school in the South Bronx, New York, and occasionally wore his Red Sox jersey to school. He received his B.A. from Tufts University and his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
