Lourdes is a US Air Force veteran who served in the medical field as part of the 3-person USAF Critical Care Air Transport Team while also serving as a member of the International Health Specialist Team for the US Air Force. Her career in aerospace medicine deployed her to multiple countries, including Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, and the Philippines until 2007. After her service, Lourdes joined Team Rubicon, a non-profit disaster response organization, deploying with the organization during Hurricane Sandy in New York and Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. A staunch veteran advocate, she has served on the federal advisory board for the US Department of Veterans Affairs under Secretary Bob McDonald. Prior to her current role, she was the Strategic Partnerships Officer for Team Rubicon Global. Currently, she’s serving as the Global Partnerships Manager for Disaster Response for Airbnb.
