STATE REPRESENTATIVE ROSEMARY LESSER

Utah’s 10th District
Service:
U.S. Air Force

Dr. Rosemary Lesser has represented House District 10 in the Utah legislature since January 2021.  She is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.

After serving in the Air Force for 15 years, she moved to Ogden in 1992, where she has cared for thousands of families as an Ob/Gyn physician. Her legislative priorities promote healthy families, healthy communities, and a healthy environment. She understands the sacrifices that have been made by our active-duty military members and veterans and pledges her ongoing support for them. She believes that our state needs a commitment to a robust public education system, and an economy that provides opportunity for all Utahns. She is a strong advocate for removing the state sales tax on groceries.

As a physician, she brings a unique perspective and expertise to the legislature as it deals with public health issues that affect all of us.  She fights tirelessly for policies that benefit working families, such as increased access to high quality healthcare and affordable childcare.  She supports the efforts of county election officials, who have made our vote-by-mail system the most accessible and secure in the country.
