AmeriCorps: City Year
Graduate Student, Heller School of Social Policy and Management
Bria believes that service brings our nation together to advocacy for a better world for all of us. Bria served as an AmeriCorps member at City Year Washington, D.C. from 2014-2016 and was awarded the 2016 AmeriCorps Alums Eli J. Segal Award. In her first year she supported an English Language Arts classroom where she tutored and mentored 5th grade students, transitioning to a team leader position in her second year. Bria continued to serve for a third year as an Impact Manager, developing the school partnership and her team of first and second year AmeriCorps members. Bria is now a candidate for the Masters of Public Policy at the Heller School of Social Policy and Management and envisions a career that merges social justice, education, and the arts. Bria graduated from the College of Wooster with a degree in Theatre and Dance.
