After completing flight training in Pensacola, Florida, he was assigned to VF-213 at NAS Oceana where he flew the F-14D Tomcat and F/A-18F Super Hornet.  He deployed to the Mediterranean Sea and Northern Arabian Gulf onboard USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM. Will’s assignments include building the bilateral relationship with the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF), during which time the Ebola epidemic broke out which directed his focus towards interagency relief efforts with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Following this assignment, Will took assignment at the U.S. State Department in the Bureau of Legislative Affairs. Will attended the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, where he received a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies, and is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy.
