WASHINGTON D.C.—New Politics today endorsed Army veteran and community advocate André Johnson for Delegate in Maryland’s 34A District. Emily Cherniack, Founder and Executive Director of New Politics released the following statement:

“We’re thrilled to endorse André Johnson to serve as delegate for Maryland’s 34A District. Whether as a non-commissioned officer in the Army, Baltimore City police officer, or county councilman, André has proven his commitment to serving and empowering those around him. As a Harford County native and lifelong Marylander, Andre has witnessed firsthand the outsized impact that local government can have on Edgewood area families. As delegate, he’ll bring with him the same courage, integrity, and devotion to excellence that have served as his North Star throughout his life and career, to Annapolis on behalf of his District 34A neighbors. We’re proud to support his campaign so that he can do just that."
