New Politics is excited to welcome Gabriel Ramos to the team as our National Press Secretary! Ramos will develop and manage the organization’s press strategy, lead efforts to shape coverage of New Politics and our endorsed campaigns, and advise campaigns on media and communications strategy.

Gabe joins the team after years of experience in communications. Most recently, he served as Press Secretary for the New York City Department of Veterans’ Services, where he managed traditional and digital media relations and prepped the agency’s principals for public engagements.

He is a Marine Corps veteran and graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, where he studied Public Administration.

Here’s what Emily had to say about Gabe: “We’re so excited to welcome Gabe to the New Politics family. Our philosophy has always been we only hire A-team talent. Throughout his career, Gabe has demonstrated a commitment to our organizational values and he is perfectly suited to help us tell the story of our movement to transform politics through servant leadership.”

“It’s a privilege to be a part of this incredible movement of values-based, servant leaders,” said Ramos. “I’m thrilled to join the New Politics family and look forward to helping the team fulfil its mission to revitalize our democracy.”

Gabe’s hire was also featured on Politico Playbook earlier this morning. We are so excited to grow our communications team and to welcome Gabe to New Politics!
