Today, we endorsed Dan Feehan in his run for Congress in Minnesota’s First District. Feehan served two combat tours in Iraq earning the Bronze Star for Service and the Army Commendation Medal with Valor. Upon leaving active duty in 2009, he joined Teach For America where he completed stints as an educator on Chicago’s south side and Gary, Indiana. After earning his masters from Harvard Kennedy School, Dan served as acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for Readiness in the Pentagon. He came within 1,600 votes of winning Minnesota’s First District during the 2018 cycle.

Here’s what Emily had to say about Dan: “We are thrilled to once again endorse Dan Feehan to represent the people of Minnesota’s First District. For the entirety of his career, Dan has demonstrated the type of bold servant leadership so desperately needed in Washington. From his time in uniform, to the classroom and the Pentagon, Dan has dedicated his life to selfless service, and we have no doubt he will continue to put his country first when he gets to Congress.”

And here’s what Dan had to say: “I’m truly grateful for this endorsement and the unwavering support of the New Politics team. It’s an honor to be a part of this incredible movement of servant leaders who fight every day to restore trust in our government.”

We’ve endorsed the reelection campaigns of eight members of Congress in the 2020 cycle, as well as the congressional campaigns of RD Huffstetler (VA-05), Jackie Gordon (NY-02), Kim Olson (TX-24), and Nikki Foster (OH-1). Our endorsements include strategic advising and training in all aspects of a candidate’s campaign, such as fundraising, communications, organizing, and hiring and team building. In 2018, wehelped raise over $7M for their endorsed candidates.
