Max has worked at almost every level of education, from public school teacher at Miami Northwestern to Executive Director of Teach For America, Miami-Dade. She served as manager of education projects for the Office of the Mayor of New York City and DC Public School Chancellor Michelle Rhee, and in 2015, she was appointed as a White House Fellow.

Max has also served on the boards of various local organizations, including the American Museum of The Cuban Diaspora and The Miami Foundation. She was recently named Female Tech Leader of the Year by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and Caribu has been recognized as one of the apps that drove Florida to be among the top five states for app economy jobs.

In 2019, Max was honored with the Young Professional “In the Company of Women” Award, an honor for women who have excelled professionally and civically and have contributed to women’s progress through their leadership and vision. The award is presented by the Miami-Dade Commission for Women in partnership with the Parks Foundation of Miami-Dade.

A Miami native, and product of Miami-Dade County public schools, Max is a first-generation Cuban-American and the first in her family to graduate from college. She earned her BA from New College of Florida, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a Masters in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
