As a New Politics Associate, Jaelen helps New Politics build systems, advise candidates, and codify the “New Politics Way” that defines our approach to campaigns and ensures cycle-to-cycle learning and growth.

Prior to joining our team, Jaelen completed a fulfilling year as an AmeriCorps member. As a result of her outstanding work during her service year, she was named one of the AmeriCorps Volunteers of the Year in celebration of AmeriCorps’ 25th year. During her service year, Jaelen worked directly with scholars from the District of Columbia and championed youth leadership by promoting academic advancement, physical and emotional wellness, and positive civic engagement within her classroom, program, and community-at-large. 

Jaelen was born in New York City, NY, and is a proud graduate of Howard University in Washington, D.C., where she still resides.
