Darren Cole serves as JobsFirstNYC’s Policy and Programs Fellow. Darren is tasked with conducting research and outreach to advance the policy and programs of JobsFirstNYC. He works to gather data, communicate findings and promote solutions, as well as raise awareness about JobsFirstNYC’s effective and innovative strategies to improve engagement of young adults through the workforce development system. Darren previously worked with Teach For America’s Washington D.C region as a Corp member. During his time with TFA, Darren taught Science developing experience applying a broad range of individualized teaching strategies. Darren holds a B.A from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs in Political Science and Psychology, and a minor in Policy Studies. In 2016, Darren received his Masters Degree in Jurisprudence from Michigan State College of Law, and is expected to earn his Juris Doctorate in 2018.
